What are Cyclone Energy Cards?

Cyclone Energy Cards are Special Energy Cards that are used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They were first introduced in 2003 with the launch of the Skyridge expansion set and last seen in the Diamond and Pearl Stormfront set of 2008.

Cyclone Energy cards provide one Colorless Energy. When attached to an Active Pokémon the player can switch a Defending Pokémon with the opponent’s Benched Pokémon. There have been a number of different designs for these cards but they all include the Colorless Energy symbol. (Scroll to bottom for timeline and gallery of all cards released to date).

In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Cyclone Energy Cards provide one Colorless Energy.

 

Cyclone Energy Cards Text:

The text on all cards is roughly the same but there have been some minor changes to the text with different releases. Listed below are two different texts seen on the cards in order of release.
