Pokémon Special Illustration Rare (SIR) Cards were first introduced with the launch of the Scarlet and Violet Base Set on 31st March 2023 when a range of new rarity classes were introduced. They have featured in all subsequent sets and are full art cards that bear two gold stars as their rarity symbol. These cards are often among the most sought after and most valuable cards in a set.
