What is the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box Release Date?
The Mega Evolution Elite Trainer box released on 26th September 2025, the launch date of this first expansion set of the Mega Evolution expansion series.
There are two box designs for this base set, each featuring Mega Pokémon. There is also Pokémon Center version of the box. Elite Trainer Boxes are a popular Pokémon TCG product and one or two designs are produced for each expansion set. Sealed boxes often see a huge increase in value over the years and are very popular with collectors.
The two regular Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes have a recommended retail price of £49.99 in the UK and $49.99 in the US. Due to extreme high demand, Pokémon Centers and many stockists have set a purchase limit for these products.
The two Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs), like other ETBs, contain a special set of cards and accessories that include everything required to play the Pokémon Trading Card game.
This new expansion series sees a return of Mega Pokémon, last seen in the XY and Sun & Moon series. The two Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes feature Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir. The artwork for the Mega Lucario box sees the character depicted in blue with gold outlining, while Mega Gardevoir is depicted in white also with gold outlining. The box background of repeated grey diamonds covers the top and right side of the box while the left features striped radiating grey and black lines bordered with gold and black lines.
Both boxes measure 16.5 x 19 x 8.9 cm (6.5 x 7.5 x 3.5 inches).
What is in the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes?
The contents of the box are contained in an inner box which is designed to function as a card holder once the products inside have been removed.

Pokémon Center Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes
The artwork for the two Pokémon Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes is slightly different to that for the regular boxes. The background of these boxes do not contain the radiating grey, black and gold lines and the characters appear closer to the viewer. This version of the boxes also feature the Poké Ball Pokémon Center logo at the bottom of each box. Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes are generally £10 / $10 more expensive than their regular counterparts.
The contents of the Pokémon Center Mega Evolution Elite Trainer boxes are similar to the regular boxes with the addition of 2 extra booster packs and an additional Promo Card.
