The Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer box released on 14th November 2025, the launch date of this second expansion set of the Mega Evolution expansion series. The set is designated ME02.
There is one single box design for this set, featuring Mega Charizard X ex. There is also Pokémon Center version of the box. Charizard is one of the most popular Pokémon and products featuring this character are always in high demand. Additionally, Elite Trainer Boxes are a popular Pokémon TCG product and those featuring Charizard are always in highly collectable and are likely to increase in value over time.

The Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box (ETB), like other ETBs, includes a special set of cards and accessories that are everything required to play the Pokémon Trading Card game.
The box features Mega Charizard X ex, last seen in the Sun and Moon series. This popular character is depicted in dark blue outlined in light blue set against a background of swirling blue areas. A stylized Pokéball is featured on the side of the box.

Pokémon Center Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box
The artwork for the Pokémon Center Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box is slightly different to that for the regular box. The character outline is a much lighter blue, the Elite Trainer Box lettering is removed and the Pokémon logo is a different colour. This version of the box also features the Poké Ball Pokémon Center logo at the bottom of each box. Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes are generally £10 / $10 more expensive than their regular counterparts.
The contents of the Pokémon Center Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer box is similar to the regular box with the addition of 2 extra booster packs and an additional Promo Card.
