What are the Ascended Heroes Mega ex Boxes?

The Ascended Heroes Mega ex boxes are a set of three boxed Pokémon products that will release on the 24th April 2026, nearly three months after the release day for the Ascended Heroes expansion set. The three variations of this product, feature Mega Meganium ex, Mega Feraligatr ex and Mega Emboar ex. Each box has a recommended retail price of £21.99 in the UK and $21.99 in the US.

The released images show that each box has a rectangular format with a cut out section revealing what’s inside. The background of each box reflects the Pokémon type of that character – green for Grass-Type Meganium, blue for Water-Type Feraligatr and red for Fire-Type Emboar. The set logo is shown in the bottom left corner.

The blurb on the back of each box reads:

The contents of the boxes have been revealed. Each box will include:

1 half art Promo Card ft Mega Meganium ex, Mega Feraligatr ex or Mega Emboar ex
1 Oversized half art card ft Mega Meganium ex, Mega Feraligatr ex or Mega Emboar ex
4 Ascended Heroes Booster Packs

Are the Mega ex boxes good value for money?

Each box contains 4 Ascended Heroes Booster Packs, 1 half art card Promo Card and 1 oversized Promo Card. Individual booster packs generally retail for around £4.50 in the UK and $4.50 in the US. The promo card is likely to be worth around £4 / $4 and the oversized card around the same as its regular counterpart.

The four Booster Packs would cost £18 / $18 if purchased individually, adding the expected value of Promo Cards takes the total to around £26.00 or $26.00.
