Caterpie Pokédex Information
Caterpie is a Bug type character that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue which released internationally on 28th September 1998. It evolves to Metapod which evolves to Butterfree.
Caterpie is a small Pokémon that is based on a caterpillar. It has a segmented body that is green with yellow circles on the top and cream underneath. It has four short stubby legs and a spoon-shaped tail. It has a red, forked antenna that protrudes from the centre of its forehead and two big, black eyes. For protection, it releases a horrible stench from the antenna on its head to drive away enemies.
