This page offers a complete Pokémon Alternate Art Cards List grouped by Expansion Set and Card Numbers. An image gallery is included for each Expansion Series.

With the release of Scarlet and Violet in 2023, the rarity of cards was revamped and new rarity symbols introduced, making it very clear to determine the rarity of each card. Two new categories – Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare only contain cards that are Alternate Art cards. To avoid confusion we have compiled separate lists of Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards.

Introduction

The first alternate art card was released in 2014 when a copy of Blacksmith was released as 88a/106. Although it bears the number of the XY Flashfire Set, it was released separately in the XY Premium Trainers Collection.

Through the XY, Sun and Moon and Sword and Shield Series, Alternate Art Cards continued to be released as Promo Cards as well as part of main sets.

Detailed below is a complete list of Pokémon Alternate Art Cards grouped by expansion series and set, newest to oldest. Where Promo cards were released with set numbers this is indicated by the word Promo in brackets. An image gallery is included after each series.
