Appletun is a Grass / Dragon type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Sword and Shield which were released Worldwide in November 2019. It evolves from Applin.

Appletun is a small four-legged green Pokémon with a yellow underbelly that resembles a worm and an apple pie. Its base is formed of a green and yellow worm with part of a sweet red apple on its head. On its back is a large dome shaped structure with four legs that is green at the bottom and yellow / brown at the top. It is decorated with cris-cross strips and a red and green leaf making it resemble the top of an apple pie. It feeds mainly on sweet apples. It will also eat small bug Pokémon that are attracted by its sweet nectar.

It can evolve to Gigantamax form with the Dynamax band. In this form, the green tail of the worm can be seen wrapped around the base of a red apple, while its neck and head stick out from the top of the apple. Its neck is surrounded by floating red clouds. It blasts its opponents with massive amounts of sweet, sticky nectar, drowning them under the deluge.
