What are Boost Energy Cards?
Boost Energy Cards are Special Energy Cards that are used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They were first introduced in the 2003 Aquapolis set and in the 2007 POP Series 5 set.

Boost Energy cards provide three Colorless Energy but can only be attached to an Evolved Pokémon. There has only been one design for these cards and it includes three Colorless Energy symbols. (Scroll to bottom for timeline and gallery of all cards released to date).
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Boost Energy Cards can provide three Colorless Energy.
Boost Energy Cards Text:
The text on all cards is roughly the same but there was a minor change to the text for the EX Deoxys release. Listed below are two different texts seen on the cards in order of release.
2003 Aquapolis release
‘Boost Energy can be attached only to an Evolved Pokémon. Discard Boost Energy at the end of the turn it was attached. Boost Energy provides Energy. The Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to can’t retreat.
When the Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to is no longer an Evolved Pokémon, discard Boost Energy.’
2005 EX Deoxys release
Boost Energy can be attached only to an Evolved Pokémon. Discard Boost Energy at the end of the turn it was attached. Boost Energy provides Energy. The Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to can’t retreat. If the Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to isn’t an Evolved Pokémon, discard Boost Energy.
