What is Magma Energy?
Magma Energy is a Special Energy that was used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It has only been released once – in the Team Aqua vs Team Magma set of 2004.

The Magma Energy card provides Fighting and Darkness Energy but can only be attached to a Pokémon with Magma in its name. The card design features a Fighting Energy symbol over a Darkness Symbol.
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Magma Energy Cards provide two Fighting or Darkness Energy or one of any Energy when attached to a Pokémon with Magma in its name.
Aqua Energy Card Text:
The text on the card reads: ‘Magma Energy can be attached only to a Pokémon with Team Magma in its name. Magma Energy provides 
and/or 
Energy but provides 2 Energy at a time. (Doesn’t count as a basic Energy card when not in play and has no effect other than providing Energy.) At the end of your turn, discard Magma Energy.’
