What is Spiral Energy?
Spiral Energy is a Special Energy that is used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It has only been released once – in the Chilling Reign Set of 2021.

The Spiral Energy card provides one of any Energy but only one at a time. The card design features the Rainbow Energy symbol.
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Spiral Energy Cards provide one of each type of Energy but only if attached to a Rapid Strike Pokémon.

The text on the card reads:
‘This card can only be attached to a Rapid Strike Pokémon. If this card is attached to anything other than a Rapid Strike Pokémon, discard this card.
As long as this card is attached to a Pokémon, it provides every type of Energy but provides only 1 Energy at a time. The Pokémon this card is attached to can’t be Paralyzed, and if it is already Paralyzed, it recovers from that Special Condition.’
