What are Amazing Rare Cards?
Amazing rare cards made their first appearance on 13th November 2020 with the release of the Sword and Shield Vivid Voltage expansion set. This set included six Amazing rare cards and a further three were released in February 2021 in the Shining Fates set.
These special cards have the same format as Holo Rare cards, but instead of a holographic pattern, they have glittery artwork that extends beyond the artwork frame. Additionally, in place of the rare ★ symbol they have an A 
printed on a multi-coloured glitter background.
The Pokémon characters depicted on Amazing Rare cards are all legendary or mythical and are at basic level. However, they do have special ‘Amazing’ abilities.

Celebi 009/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Shot
For each of your Benched Pokémon, search your deck for a card that evolves from that Pokémon and put it onto that Pokémon to evolve it. Then, shuffle your deck.
Raikou 050/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Shot
This attack also does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Zacian 082/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Sword
If your opponent has any Pokémon VMAX in play, this attack does 150 more damage.
Zamazenta 102/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Shield
During your opponent’s next turn, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from Pokémon VMAX.
Jirachi 119/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Star
Search your deck for up to 7 basic Energy cards and attach them to your Pokémon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.
Rayquaza 138/185
Amazing Ability – Amazing Burst
Discard all basic Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 80 damage for each type of basic Energy you discarded in this way.
Reshiram 017/072
Amazing Ability – Amazing Blaze
This Pokémon also does 60 damage to itself.
Kyogre 021/072
Amazing Ability – Amazing Surge
This attack does 80 damage to each of your opponent’s Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Yveltal 046/072
Amazing Ability – Amazing Destruction
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out.
