Meowth Pokédex Information
Meowth is a Normal type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Red and Blue which released in Japan on 12th September 1999. It evolves to Persian.
Meowth is a two-legged Pokémon that is based on a cat. Its head, body and limbs are completely cream in colour, while its feet and the end of its tail are brown. Its ears are brown with black rims and there is a segmented oval decoration at the centre of its head surrounded by cream whiskers.
It evolves to Gigantamax form with the Dynamax Band. In this form it is much taller and its weight is unknown. Its elongated body has a cream lower part and a brown upper body while its eyes are bright yellow. Red clouds float around its upper body. The pattern that has appeared on its giant coin is thought to be the key to unlocking the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon.
Meowth takes on a different form when it appears in Alola. In Alolan form it is a Dark type Polémon and is identical in form to its regular for, except that it is completely grey in colour apart from the black edging to its ears and the oval decoration on its head is now yellow. It’s accustomed to luxury because it used to live with Alolan royalty. As a result, it’s very picky about food.
When it appears in Galar it takes another different form. Galarian Meowth is a Steel type Pokémon and is much heavier than its regular and Alolan counterpart. Its head and body is covered in shaggy brown fur. The oval decoration on its head is black as are its feet and end of tail. Its upper paws have black, sharp claws and there are two horns on its head. Living with a savage, seafaring people has toughened this Pokémon’s body so much that parts of it have turned to iron.
